About New Life

New Life Community Church was founded in 1997 by Pastors Steve and Tami Abraham along with a group of about 50 people in a hotel in Oxnard. It is amazing what God has done, today almost 2,000 people call New Life their home church.

Since the beginning of New Life Community Church we have strived to become the kind of church described in the Bible - a church with relevant teaching, heart-felt worship, loving friendships and compassionate care for those in need. In short, we'd like to have the kind of contagious Christianity that can influence and encourage the community, one life at a time.

New Life Community Church is a part of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel.  The Foursquare Church is a denomination that exists to glorify God and advance His kingdom. Please visit Foursquare.org for more information.

Why We Exist:

We exist to reveal the love of Jesus Christ to all people and to equip them to share His love.  This will be fulfilled by Acts 2:42-47.

Worship - The placing of Jesus Christ as the Head of all church activities.
Word - The process by which each believer grows into spiritual maturity.
Welcome - The practice of love, forgiveness and acceptance shared by effective ministry to one another.
Witness - The presentation and proclamation of the Gospel to the whole world.

 

Vision Statement:

We will build mature followers of Jesus Christ by presenting God's Word in powerful and practical ways, while providing a place for people of all ages, races and color to encounter the presence of God, love the people of God and grow the kingdom of God.
